Halifax, Nova Scotia – The Thunderbirds announced that they have signed Goaltender, Warren Hill, to a two- year agreement. The Six Nations native just completed his third season in the National Lacrosse League, and first with the organization.
“Warren proved himself from the moment he stepped into the net as he led the league in save percentage,” said Owner and General Manager Curt Styres. “We relied on him heavily down the stretch and he was an integral part of our success near the end of the season last year”
Hill signed a one-year deal last year with the Knighthawks and saw his first action on January 19, 2019. In his first start on March 15, 2019 he stopped 35 shots and on March 31 st he made 50 saves en route to his first pro win. Hill led the NLL with an .810 save percentage which was the third best in team single season history.
“I am very excited and happy to be a part of the Halifax Thunderbirds organization,” said Hill. “It’s going to be fun to rejoin the team because I really think the group of guys we have so far will set us up for success come December. I cannot wait to experience what Halifax has to offer.”
