Halifax, Nova Scotia- The Thunderbirds Owner and General Manger, Curt Styres, has announced that Roger Chrysler will be joining the defensive side of the coaching staff.
Roger is considered to be a hidden gem by Owner Curt Styres.
“We believe Roger has a lot of assets to bring to the table,” said Styres. “We are surprised that Roger has not been asked to join an NLL team as of yet, and we are excited to have him join our bench staff as we launch the Thunderbirds in our inaugural season.”
Chrysler is a former assistant coach of the 2019 St. Catherine’s Shockwave and former assistant coach of the 2019 ALL Coach of the Year Ron Henry. Chrysler and coaching staff guided the Shockwave to a 13-1 season, and they topped off their season with winning the ALL Cup Championship.
Chrysler has spent his summer as the assistant coach of the Tuscarora Tomahawks who are part of the Can-Am Lacrosse League. The team had a record of 10-4, finishing the season second in the league.
