Petterson Named NLL Rookie of the Week

Earlier today Clarke Petterson was named the National Lacrosse League's Rookie of the week. Petterson made his NLL debut last Saturday, December 21st at the Scotiabank Centre.

 

The Toronto native had five points scoring three goals and two helpers against the Rochester Knighthawks. His third goal of the game was a highlight reel behind the back goal to cap off his memorable night.

 

Petterson was drafted to the Thunderbirds in the first round (5th overall) of the National Lacrosse League Entry Draft this past September. Prior to being drafted to the Thunderbirds, Petterson was a three-time captain for Cornell University. He finished his career in the top 10 at Cornell for goals and points and becoming the 43rd player in Cornell history to reach 100 career points.
