The 2020 National Lacrosse League Draft was one that was extremely unique, but one that Halifax Thunderbird Stars Cody Jamison Graham Hossack and Scott Campbell won't soon forget. The Trio got a behind-the-scenes look at the draft getting the chance to sit in on the Thunderbirds war-room. "Obviously I knew for a long time that there was a lot of work, but I think tonight really put that into perspective on actually how much work and how long it takes and how prepared are coaching staff and our management is," said Thunderbirds Captain Cody Jamieson.

"It's definitely an experience that I've enjoyed as it's definitely the first time in my lifetime I've done anything like this, which is pretty cool," said Thunderbirds defensemen Graham Hossack.

"It's been fun, and you know getting to see how many players are available and the kind of information they have on them you know where they are thinking it's going to go with the team's what they've heard all that stuff," said Thunderbirds defensemen, Scott Campbell.

"It's been pretty eye-opening and good to see everybody right. We've had some good laughs, and you know there's been some serious parts, but for the most part, it's just good to connect with all the guys and kind of catch back up.

Team owner and General Manager Curt Styres and Head Coach Mike Accursi have been apart of numerous NLL drafts, but even for them, this was one for the books.

"Yeah, this is like the first time ever that we had a draft on First Nations territory," said Thunderbirds owner and General manager Curt Styres. "We're here at Grand River Enterprises that's right in the heart of Six Nations on the Grand River, and to have Cody and Hossack and Soupy here is just a great feeling to see that we've been able to have the draft right here on property right on the territory and its a really great feeling to have that. I never thought that would have been possible."

"It's great to see those guys and spend some time with them, and like you said, every time that we get together, we enjoy ourselves," said Thunderbirds Head Coach Mike Accursi. "It's a really tight group and to have those guys here and kind of breaks up the business side of what we've been dealing with all day so they kinda bring a little breath of fresh air into the room and lighten the mood a little bit and again I love all those guys.”
