Thunderbirds Promote Reilly Simmonds to Vice President Of Ticketing

HALIFAX, Nova Scotia (November 15, 2021) - The Halifax Thunderbirds today announced they have promoted Reilly Simmonds to Vice President of Ticketing.
Simmonds joined the Thunderbirds ahead of their inaugural season in 2019 as the franchise’s Director, Ticket Operations.
In his elevated role for Halifax’s professional lacrosse team, the Port Moody, B.C. native will be responsible for ticket reporting with ownership, communicating with Scotiabank Centre ahead of Thunderbirds’ gamedays, working with Thunderbirds’ partner Ticket Atlantic and managing the Thunderbirds sales team to pack The Nest for every home game.
“I would first like to congratulate Reilly on this promotion,” said Thunderbirds President, John Catalano. “Since day one, he has been an instrumental part of our success and is a crucial member of our management team, assisting us getting up and running for a successful first season in Halifax.”
Simmonds graduated from Brock University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Social Sciences . He spent 12 years with the Vancouver Canadians - Class-A Short Season affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays - most recently as the Manager of Ticket Ops and Box Office Operations.
He moved cross country for the Thunderbirds’ first season in the Maritimes, drawn by the opportunity and challenge to bring professional box lacrosse to Nova Scotia.
“It’s been really fun working here, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to continue and move up in responsibility and leadership roles,” Simmonds said. “I’m really looking forward to getting back to playing and seeing all of our fans back in the building. It’s been too long, and we can’t wait to get back and see all our fans in their seats again.”
The Thunderbirds will continue training camp. Their first regular season game will be on Dec. 4, 2021 against the Saskatchewan Rush. Face-off is set for 7:00 p.m. AT.
