HALIFAX, Nova Scotia (June 23, 2022) - The Halifax Thunderbirds today announced they have signed transition player Colton Armstrong to a one-year contract.
Armstrong, 26, played in 17 regular season contests for the Thunderbirds in the 2021-22 NLL season. In that span, he recorded 13 points (6G, 7A), 50 loose balls, and nine caused turnovers.
“Coming off one of his strongest seasons with our organization, Army came to camp this year faster and stronger and clearly ready to earn a roster spot, and he did just that from preparation, commitment, and hard work,” Thunderbirds Owner and General Manager Curt Styres said. “I believe he will do the same for this upcoming camp and expect we will see even more from him 2023. We’re excited to have him back battling with the Thunderbirds.”
Out of Peterborough, Ontario, Armstrong has played in 35 games for the franchise, posting 26 points (10G, 16A), 107 loose balls, and 20 caused turnovers.
