Thunderbirds sign Keaton Thomson to a one-year deal

HALIFAX, Nova Scotia (September 23, 2021) - The Halifax Thunderbirds announced today the signing of Keaton Thomson to a one-year deal.

 

“Keaton is an athletic player that can play both ends of the floor,” said Thunderbirds Head Coach, Mike Accursi. “He’s a dynamic player with incredible potential.”

 

Thomson, 23, has split his junior career with the Mimico Mountaineers and Mississauga Tomahawks, making a run to the 2017 Minto Cup tournament with Mimico. 

 

In 90 career Junior A contests, the Toronto, Ontario native has posted 18 goals and 62 points. 

 

Thomson has also spent his collegiate career with Marquette University, appearing in 12 total games for the Golden Eagles. He tallied three points over that span. 

 

“I’d like to thank the Halifax Thunderbirds for giving me this opportunity. Being surrounded by lacrosse my whole life and watching my peers do great things at the next level has always inspired me to fulfill my dream of playing in the NLL,” said Thomson.
