Thunderbirds to Move Next Two Home Games to Hamilton
Jan 28, 2022
Per the latest announcement regarding extended restrictions in Halifax, we have made the difficult decision to move our next two home games to FirstOntario Centre in Hamilton, Ontario for both February 4th vs. New York at 8 PM AT, and February 13th vs. Philadelphia at 2 PM AT (originally scheduled for February 12).
“We have exhausted all avenues to continue playing in Halifax,” said Thunderbirds President and CEO John Catalano. “At this point with scheduling conflicts for the Thunderbirds and other teams across the NLL to be able to finish our season, we have no choice but to play games outside of Halifax. We are extremely disappointed that we will be having to take away games from our loyal fan base. We appreciate our fans' support through these frustrating times.”
The Thunderbirds organization would like to thank the Scotiabank Centre and Events East staff for their full cooperation and support in helping to navigate a solution for our continuation of play. Moving these games not only affects the Halifax Thunderbirds, but the entire National Lacrosse League and its partners. We are continuing to work with the Nova Scotia government for a return to play in Halifax.
All fans who purchased single game tickets for the Thunderbirds home games on January 8/February 4th or February 12th will be automatically refunded by Ticket Atlantic in the next few business days. Thunderbirds season ticket/package/group ticket members will be contacted directly by the Thunderbirds office with more information. Thank you for your patience, understanding and support. Please Note: If the tickets were transferred to you, the refund will go to the fan who originally purchased the tickets from Ticket Atlantic.
